Greening the Curriculum: A Global Priority

Green Clubs align with international frameworks that guide sustainable and climate education in schools. These include UNESCO’s Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), the UNFCCC’s Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE), the Global Action Programme on ESD (GAP), and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 4, 12, and 13). Our focus is on translating these frameworks into practical, hands-on initiatives within schools and communities.

Our Advocacy

Partnering with UNESCO

Through UNESCO's Greening Education Partnership, we support the goal of equipping every learner with the knowledge, skills, and values to act for a sustainable future.

Aligning with UNFCCC

We advocate for the UNFCCC's Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE), urging governments to prioritize school-based climate education and student-led initiatives.

Learning from UNICEF

Inspired by UNICEF's Climate Action Clubs, we empower youth to become informed environmental leaders through hands-on projects and advocacy.

Transforming Schools Through Action

Green Clubs work with ministries of education and local authorities to ensure environmental education is lived—through student action, community engagement, and school-wide transformation.
